Red Orchestra Review

Been playing Red Orchestra this weekend, which is a UT2004 total conversion, you can get it through steam which is cool. The is you classic FPS set in world war II like DOD where it differs slightly from DOD is you can jump in to tanks and APC and stuff, which is sort of fun.? The best bit is the fact the maps are HUGE!! and you can dissapear off in to a bush and shoot the crap out of the other side, smug in the knowledge they have no clue where you are.

Down sides are the graphics arn't up to scratch but then it is using the Unreal Engine and thats probably due an overhaul with UT2006.? Very playable indeedy though havn't played counter strike since it uploaded which is a good sign.? Another good or bad point (depending on your point of view) is there is no help in game to identify the enemy other than their uniform or the markings on their vehicle.?? I like this and it will force you to follow a guy round for hours, get him right in your cross hairs then realise he's on your side Whoops!. the flip side of this is that there will be loads of TK's (whether you think this is a bad thing is subjective). Another cool thing is way they show the sniper rifle scope link here. And more screenshots here

Conclusion:? I'd buy as its only ?17 on steam ( which I obviously already have)
