Tivo Series 3

Another Groovey piece of kit just recently revealed at CES is the Series 3 Tivo. The Series 3 naturally has HDTV support ( proper 1080p i shall rant no more on this). It will still encode analogue Video to Mpeg 2 but has the capability of Mpeg 4 playback (AVC/H.264 etc ). The Remote has been slightly updated, importantly the drive inside are now SATA, and if you look carefully at the picture of the back you'll spot an external SATA connection for simple upgrades (no more faffing around in Linux).



Outputs include HDMI, Component Video, S-Video, and Composite Video and Optical output for all your dolby digital out requirements.


One small other thing Brits wont be getting it. Unless Sony and Philips actually produce it like they said they would the series 2 in 2004 ( grrr)

Went to see them (again) last night. Honestly, people don't listen to enough T-Rex, even though it can substantially improve your life. A lot of people say "I don't know anything they did", so you don't know Metal Guru, Jeepster, Telegram Sam, Hot Love, Children of the Revolution, Ride a White Swan, Get it On, I Love to Boogie, New York City, The Groover, Solid Gold Easy Action, or 20th Century Boy. Right. Bolan was totally the man, until the untimely tree/mini incident. Genius.
